Introducing: Desert Sunset and Twinkling Teal

Hi there!  I wanted to introduce two of my latest creations out of my dye pot.  I typically do my yarn dying from 5am-6am before I have to get ready for my “real” job.  Sometimes, it’s hard to stop and start my work day!

I love the orange, purple, and pink colors in the yarn.  There are some dark greens which are hidden by the label.  In the future, I will be taking close-ups of my variegated yarns so you can see all the different color sections.

The second yarn I dyed this week is called Twinkling Teal because it’s using a yarn base of superwash merino wool, nylon and stellina, which gives the silvery sparkle.  I think I might keep a skein of this for myself and make some socks with it.

I hope you enjoy looking at the splash of colors!

Anyone for tie-dye?

I got new Jacquard Acid dye colors last week and I love hot pink and turquoise so I decided to do some dyeing using a “resist” technique.  The result? Wow….

I have not decided on the name of this yet but I’m eager to knit with it.  I plan on making this Dropped Stitch scarf from Frazzled Knits.
