I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I’ve been working on new color ways as well as building stock for an upcoming craft show in DeWitt, MI. If you’re in the mid-Michigan area, stop by and say hi!
My newest colorway is called, Urban Sunrise. It was inspired by the following photo I took on my way to work recently.
It took me a few tries to get the dyeing method to where there’s minimal blending between the three colors. I’m really excited about this one and will be adding it to my Etsy shop mid-November.
I’ve also been playing with speckled yarn and I’ve gotten a lot of rave reviews from my fellow knitters. Which one is your favorite? They are all so pretty and very soft I have a hard time giving them up for the show! Some of them are dyed on a worsted weight yarn (100% Superwash Merino) as well as two different sock yarn (fingering weight). One is a smooth yarn (75% Superwash Merino wool/25% Nylon) and a twisted yarn base (100% Superwash Merino). I will also be adding these to my Etsy shop mid-November.
I’ve also been working on camouflage yarn. It’s called Woodland Camo and is 100% Superwash Merino wool. It’s great for making gifts for your favorite out-doors kind of person. Fingerless mitts and cowls have been a favorite of my husband’s. I do have some of this listed in my Etsy shop already.
